Holiday Meal Box Program
In November and December of 2008 Community Food bank was able to distribute 7200 Holiday Meal Boxes to people in need. That was more than double the amount from 2007. This year when we sent the request out to our Partner Pantries to find out how many clients they had in need of a Holiday Meal Box - the number requested totaled almost 40,000. Wow, what an increase demand over previous years!
There was a tremendous response from generous people in our community. Children held coin drives, people donated proceeds from crafting projects, employees rallied together to give money, corporations gave money and countless others gave from the heart.
We were able to provide over 20,000 Holiday Meal Boxes November through December. Community Food Bank, our Partner Pantries and those we serve say THANK YOU!! Thank you for making such a big difference in the lives of so many.
