Host a Food or Fund Drive

Currently we are looking for an organization that would like to host a Valentine's Day food drive!  We are looking for creative individuals that would like to create a program that could hopefully become an annual event.  If promoted, it could be a great way to contribute to the community during a time when food drives are at their lowest.  Perhaps take the barrels end of January and decorate them with giant cut-out paper hearts.  Put them in visible areas with signs describing the purpose of the drive and who it benefits.  Send a cut-out heart to each employee, two weeks before, challenging them to collect 10 pounds of food that can be brought to work on February 15th to celebrate Valentine's Day.  Offer an incentive!  Each person who brings in their goal gets presented with a red velvet cupcake (and I have an AMAZING recipe I'm willing to share!).  Contact Lisa Quiroz to sign up!

Take a look at the flyers we have created for different Holidays.  It is important to take the time and plan for a food drive in order for it to be most succesful.  Plan a month in advance for maximum results!

Hosting a Food or Fund Drive is a great way to make a difference in our community and advocate for those in need.  Food and Fund Drives are needed all year long not just during the holiday season.  Corporations, schools, churches and individuals are stepping up everday to give hope to families, seniors, children and individuals in need.

If you would like to host a Food or Fund Drive please take a look at our food drive manual for great ideas.
